Scarlett Johansson - American Actress and singer (born in NYC on the 22nd of November 1984) Her range of talents as an actress has brought the world awe in everything from the dramas of the past to thrillers and adventure. Johansson has a father who is a film producer and an architect. Her family was based in New York City. Hunter, her twin brother, and she were the youngest of a family of four. In her early years she started acting. At 7 years old, she had already auditioned for several commercials. She was enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute shortly after, and later attended the Professional Children's School, Manhattan for further training. In the age of eight, she starred together with Ethan Hawke in the Off-Broadway production Sophistry, and at nine she made her debut in film in Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson was later seen on screen in Just Cause, but she was first seen in Manny & Lo, a film about siblings left behind by their parents who run away. She next earned critical acclaim for her role in the film as a teen who been injured in a horrific accident in The Horse Whisperer (1998) and gained more attention in the role of a sarcastic teen outcast Rebecca on the set of Ghost World (2001). Much like many other new actresses choose to pursue, she decided to build her talents in the theatre. In addition to other productions in the USA she also had her debut on stage in Wildflower. She was a student at an institution called the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory, part of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
